It was a real honour for AR to work on the EpiWatch app. This landmark app ended up being featured on the Apple ResearchKit site as well as having write ups in Fast Company, The Washington Post and CNN to name a few.
The app is the first ever Apple Watch app to utilize Apple ResearchKit providing health information such as heart rate, gyroscope and accelerometer data. It includes a daily journal to track seizures, treatments and medication side effects as well has having SMS notifications for caregivers when participants start tracking a seizure.
John Hopkins describes the app best - "Johns Hopkins EpiWatch is an app for Apple Watch and research study. EpiWatch helps you manage your epilepsy by tracking your seizures and possible triggers, medications and side effects. You can view this information at any time, and a dashboard lets you share a summary of the data with your doctor or caregiver if you want. With EpiWatch, you can also send a message to family members or caregivers to let them know when you are tracking a seizure."
